Proposed Change to Bylaws

Chicagoland USBC is proposing a change to its bylaws.

What is the current bylaw?

The current bylaw allows Chicagoland USBC to collect $12 local dues.

What is the proposed change?

The proposed change would allow Chicagoland USBC to collect $15 in local dues.

Why is the change being proposed?

The Chicagoland USBC Board of Directors recommends a $3 dues increase for the 2025/2026 season.

Chicagoland USBC needs additional funding in order to maintain current service levels in an economic climate that has reduced membership, and increased fixed operating costs. The recommended dues increase will allow Chicagoland USBC to maintain local bowler programs and services, as well as benefits to support the vision of growing the sport that would be cost prohibitive under the present funding structure. The last dues increase for the Chicagoland local association was in 2010.
